We are a premier French cooperage with a rich history of craftsmanship and innovation, known globally for producing quality barrels used by leading wineries
We are seeking a passionate Senior Barrel Sales Representative to lead and expand our sales efforts in California.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive business growth in California.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with wineries and other key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored barrel solutions.
• Manage a portfolio of existing accounts while actively prospecting and closing new business opportunities.
• Attend trade shows and visit clients to strengthen relationships and showcase our exceptional products.
• Provide feedback to the cooperage on customer preferences, industry trends, and product performance to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sales, particularly within the wine and spirits industry.
• Enology Degree or similar is desirable.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
• A passion for craftsmanship and an appreciation for the role barrels play in the wine and spirits production process.

Barrel Sales Agent


A renowned cooperage, celebrated for its commitment to quality and tradition, is seeking an experienced and well-connected Independent Sales Agent to represent its portfolio and expand brand presence. This role is ideal for a self-employed professional with an established wine industry network who operates their own sales business and serves multiple clients.

The Sales Agent will work independently to cultivate strong relationships with winemakers across leading wine regions in the United States, using a consultative sales approach to identify client needs and recommend tailored solutions that enhance wine quality.

Scope of Work :

  • Develop and maintain long-term winery relationships to generate sales.
  • Identify and engage prospective clients through winery visits, virtual meetings, industry events, and tastings.
  • Support clients by providing technical product knowledge and wine industry expertise.
  • Facilitate order processing with the cooperage’s team in France and coordinate delivery arrangements.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding customer needs, market trends, and product feedback.
  • Travel as needed to wine regions in California, Oregon, and Washington.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of wine industry experience, preferably with knowledge of barrels or other technical winemaking products.
  • Strong professional network and demonstrated history of sales success in the wine sector.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of winemaking processes and the technical role of barrels in wine quality.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to self-direct and adapt to changing market conditions.
